Personal profile ; Jordan Kwong

Picture from match against Clementi Town ; West Zone Tournament.

Featuring: Jordan / No.13
Name: Jordan Kwong Zheng Xi
Position: Shooting Guard& Power Foward
Age: 14
Date Of Birth: May 4th 1993
Height: 1.70 Meters/ 5 foot 5 inches
Weight: 50 Kilograms/ 133 Pounds
Shoe Size: 11.5
A.K.A The scorer.

Well well. Apart from our captain Shiah Leei. This player, Jordan Kwong, is the second most important player in the team. With speed, skill, strength, accuracy, cleverness, this player is bound to tear apart any defence set up. His height for his age is above average, giving him a little edge over others, be it in defense or offense. His defense is rated 4/5 and you will definitely need a screen to get pass him.

Oh try not to get into contact with him. Not that he is poisonous, but his bones are harder than diamonds. One elbow from him and you will be spending the next 5 minutes complaining about pain. I heard he drinks milk every morning, forced by his mother of course, but what the heck. Helps him a lot. So drink milk for tough bones people!

He averages almost 10 points per game and his highest PPG is 25 against Clementi Town. Armed with his tough bones, he can cut through most defense, and score, and tada~ 2 points and a free throw. Did I mentioned about his jumpshots ? Oh you will never want to be his opponents especially when he is on form. It's like a vicious cycle. He gets the ball, bounce bounce jumps and shoots. SCORE !Bounce bounce jumps and shoots.SCORE! Not that it's easy but he makes it look easy. I wonder how he does jumpshots so consistantly. Amazing I must say.

How important is he ? He played in EVERY single game that Commonwealth took part in. Oh well, I wished I had his accuracy. His secret to sucess ? Concentration ! He concentrates whenver he plays basketball or during trainings. He is a no joker on the court. Hmm, he has this ability to ignore the pressure opponents provide. It was rumoured that he will be more accurate when there's a defender on him.

On the contrary to Ke Qing. He dosen't seem to be nervous at all. Must be the playing during primary school that made him experienced with the body contact and stuff. Oh wells, experienced can't be bought, so let's just learn the same way he did.

Personal profile of player ; Ke Qing

Picture from match against Clementi Town; West Zone Tournament

Featuring; Ke Qing / No. 5

Name: Lee Ke Qing
Position: Centre
Age: 14
Date Of Birth: April The Fifteenth 1993
Height: 1.83 Meters/ 6 Foot
Weight: 66 Kilograms/ 145 Pounds
Shoe Size: 12
Otherwise known as 'The Pro'

Ke Qing, our dominating centre at a height of 6 Foot, would cause fear in the hearts of the opponents. He makes the opponents sweat in trying their best to get rebounds; but Ke Qing gets it all. For certain, he is a great asset to our game, in terms of the height advantage as well as a great rebounder. When he plays at his best, he is like a beast. A trustworthy rebounder, we are dependent on his skills of grabbing those rebounds, often creating a chance for 2 points. With him around, opponents fear him. They hestiate to shoot, even passing out some of the time.

However, he has a habit of dreaming on the court and be oblivious to the surroundings. Sometimes, he tends to box out the opponent, such that he even forgets about the ball. Perhaps the constant need for him to box out causes him not to go back to defend. There is a need for him to work on the basics, as it is the most important part of basketball. His inflated ego tends to cause him to talk big with small actions, thus making him an irritant sometimes. However, as he is a different type of player, his team mates do not know how to make use of his height, thus not making full use of his potential, which is a pity.

However weird it seems, but when his teammates are serious in playing, he tends to laugh over all his mistakes as if it were a joke, not only allowing a turnover but also resulting in the building up of anger and disappointment among his teammates. Sometimes, our vice-captain Jason Lim has scolded him repeatedly for his clown-like actions, which he should not have done so. Encouragement is all he needs, & he just has to concentrate on the game. He may be afraid & nervous at times, but it is actually Ok. We all understand how hard it is under the basket.

I salute to your hard work, but sometimes, you really need to be serious.

Personal profile of player ; Shiah Leei (Captain)

Picture taken last year; Training Session.

Featuring; Shiah Leei (Captain) / No. 4

Name: Loh Shiah Leei
Position: Centre
Age: 14
Date Of Birth: January The Second 1993
Height: 1.74 meters/ 5.7 Foot
Weight: 90+ Kilograms/ 198 Pounds +
Shoe Size: 13
Known as the 'Yam & Mint Ice-Cream' Man/ Shaquille O'Neal

Shiah Leei; Our captain. Shows his great leadership. The indispensable player from the team.
With his great sheer power, he scores approximately one quarter or more of the team's points, around 10 points average per game. He illustrates an example to his fellow team mates, & encourages them to work hard to win the game.

Just to show an example, during the West Zone Tournament against Kranji Secondary School. It was just a few minutes before the game ended. With our taller centre injured, he had to carry all of the job to himself. Even though he could not bear the tiredness, he wanted to go on, not stopping even with his difficulties. Eventually we did win the game. He showed how great we can extend our potential to, & on the way, he keeps trying to improve himself so as not to let the team down.

His chubby face shows how cute he is, give him a hug, trust me, it will bring you warmth and comfort.

We couldn't have a better captain, can we? ;D

Friendly Match Against Pioneer

Picture taken around a month ago; West Zone Tournament.

Today was like any other day, we had training at first. Did warm-up, lay-up drills, some dribbling drills & shooting drills. To be honest, I don't think the drills benefited any of us. >_>

So then, Pioneer came. They did their warm-up, we did ours. Secondary One started playing for 3 periods, which is about 15 minutes each. Although during part of their game some of the Senior Boys went in, I thought they did well ;D Keep it up! Just need to catch up on your communications & such.

After such tedious waiting, we finally got on court, against their B Boys'. It was a long fight, but we managed to outscore them by almost 20 points. In the midst, Ding Xiang got pissed off by one of the Pioneer Boys, I wouldn't be surprised even if he did, anyway. Just keep your cool guys!

Shiah Leei got a Buzzer Beater, a three points from downtown! All of us love his chubby face, don't we!

Oh yeah, it was He Chen's first appearance today. The opponents sure did sweat when he entered, good job! You have got the size, the power, and the height. 加油!

I don't think we would want any more friendly matches with any of Mitch's friends, do we? Apparently, they just don't work out the whole time. So why bother >_>

Reminder: Bring your Ez-Link card or a passport size picture of yourself on next Tuesday, 3P.M at school's basketball court. Please be punctual. :D

~ Without team spirit, our team will fall apart.

Hai

Hi people. I got nothing much to say, just don't slack during trainings + morning runs. Cas they are going to help alot.

Nobody was borned good. It was the hard work and training that they went through that made them good.

So work hard people.
